for Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT
WINDOWS COMPATIBILITY
=============================
YOU DON'T KNOW JACK can be played on any 486- or 586-based PC
running Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or Windows NT. YOU DON'T KNOW
JACK is compatible with Windows NT 3.5 and Windows NT 4.0.
To play YOU DON╒T KNOW JACK Volume 3 on a Windows PC, you must have:
- Windows 95, Windows 3.1x, or Windows for Workgroups
- 486SX 66MHz processor or faster (486/66 or faster recommended)
- 16MB free RAM
- 28MB of free hard disk space
- 2X (or faster) CD-ROM drive
- Video display capable of at least 640x480 resolution with 256 colors
- Sound Blaster 16 or compatible 16-bit multimedia sound card
YOU DON╒T KNOW JACK Volume 3 does not run on any 386 or earlier CPUs.
YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Volume 3 Performance
=============================================
YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Volume 3 performs best when your video
display is set to 256 colors. Some PC hardware may not be fast
enough to play the game well in higher color video modes.
If you experience sound or video performance problems with YOU
DON'T KNOW JACK Volume 3, please make sure that neither the
Microsoft Office Toolbar, the Norton Navigator Task Bar, nor any
similar utility, is running when you run YOU DON'T KNOW JACK Volume 3.
These utilities can negatively effect the performance of many games.
Tip: You can temporarily disable most Windows utilities by
holding down the shift key while Windows is loading. These
utilities will launch normally the next time you restart Windows.
If you still experience sound stuttering, make sure that you have
installed the latest drivers for your sound card. Contact the
manufacturer of your sound card for more information on the
availability of driver updates. Updates can usually be downloaded
for free from the World Wide Web or from your manufacturer's own
electronic bulletin board.
